WaveSpin spinning reels

Looking to purchase a few new spinning reels this spring and thought I might try one of the new WaveSpin reels.

Anybody used one?

I'm in the same boat tom, looking for (3) of them so I need to get something in the $60-75 dollar range. I did find some presidents on the bidding site that I could get for $50 plus some shipping. good luck!

I have some President reels and have been happy with them.

I have heard that the Wavespin really cast a long distance.

I have s u.s super caster 180 that works well for that but its seems heavy

I haven't used the Wavespin but we used to sell them at a place where I used to work.

They seemed like good reels and long-casting reels, but they also seemed bigger and heavier than the spinning reels I use now. I just use spinning reels for panfish, walleye rigging, jigging, etc. If you're looking for a bigger reel for bass, pike, cats etc. then maybe you'd like the size more than I did.

Thanks Dave. I am looking for smaller reels. I heard they would cast a long ways but was concerned with the size and weight.

I purchased a Shimano Stradic 1000 and a 2500. The Stradic's were abit more but should work very well.
