Strikemaster Suit Sizing help please

To all owners of the Strikemaster HardWater Ware polar suit... I am hoping you can give me some advice on sizing. I have found a very very good deal on this suit that I think is almost impossible to pass up, however I want to make sure I can get the right size. I am 6' tall and 160 lbs. with a 31" waist, so I'm somewhat tall and lanky. I am wondering if medium sized bibs and a large parka would work for me. Those are the only sizes available that I would think would be close to fitting. The bibs are out of stock in large, and the jacket is out of stock in medium. Any suggestions? I did look at the sizing chart, but I prefer advice from other fisherman. On a side note, I know there are other probably better suits out there, but for now money is tight and this would be better than my carhart suit. Thanks so much.

love my strikemaster suit from the ice show this year, thoroughly enjoyed fishing outside alot more with it on! tons of storage/pockets also. i am 6 2 260...have xxl in both bids & jacket, perfect size for me, snug enuff to keep warm but loose enuff to move around in and have "space" underneath for body movement & layering clothes.

look at this way....if it is a great deal that u cannot pass up on, get what you can, if the sizing is not quite right, im sure u can either use it to get by until u can get right sizing or wont b hard to resell & get ur $ back.

I drove up to their store a couple of months ago when they had the sale going on because I was not sure of the size either. I am 6 foot 175 pounds and I got both in large. They are plenty big but that is the way I like it. I will say that I love the suit, not a single complaint.

I'm 5'7" and 210lbs 36 inch waist. I went with the extra large jacket and the large bibs. the large jacket was a hair to tight in the shoulders for my liking. If the price you found is less then $190 then I would get one now if the sizes work for you. if not then wait for the ice show next year and pick it up for the $190 that strike master sells them for at the show and they also offer this price once or twice a season on their HSOforum. I know it is more money then yon want to spend but if you ever decide to get the striker ice suit after having the strikemaster suit you would want to get the same size as your strikemaster suit. I still have my strikemaster suit but this year I switched to the striker ice as my main suit when the weather is colder (never really had a chance to test it in less then 15 degree temps this year). you will be happy with the strikemaster suit if you get it.

Thanks to everyone for the input. I really appreciate it! If anyone else is interested, I will let you in on where you can get this great deal. I hope I can do this without getting in trouble... I don't think they are a sponsor but still a Minnesota company. They have a great deal for these at red rock store. Just google it to find their web site. I am getting the bibs and jacket plus shipping for $136.50. I think this is a very good deal and just gotta jump on it. Again... thanks for the help!

it's okay to name places. the only thing you can't do is post a link to their HSOforum or post a phone number for them.

I think you'll be okay with the Medium bibs. I ordered a medium pair from Red Rock Store last week and they came on Friday. I ended up having to alter the straps because they were way too long for me. I'm about 5'8" and I took out about 5 inches of strap. Now they fit pretty well....if maybe a little baggy. I'm (too) close to 160 (for my liking).

You won't regret the purchase. Really nice bibs. Careful though, it's easy to nick them with the auger and the fabric isn't as tough as some stuff out there. Well worth it at the sale price.

The suit hasn't arrived yet, but I am thinking it should be pretty close in fit judging from what all of you have said. I am really hoping it fits because it was a very good deal in my book (provided it performs as well as most seem to say it does). I am patiently waiting, but hope it arrives before the weekend so I can test it out.

    • we had some nice weather yesterday and this conundrum was driving me crazy  so I drove up to the house to take another look. I got a bunch of goodies via ups yesterday (cables,  winch ratchet parts, handles, leaf springs etc).   I wanted to make sure the new leaf springs I got fit. I got everything laid out and ready to go. Will be busy this weekend with kids stuff and too cold to fish anyway, but I will try to get back up there again next weekend and get it done. I don't think it will be bad once I get it lifted up.    For anyone in the google verse, the leaf springs are 4 leafs and measure 25 1/4" eye  to eye per Yetti. I didnt want to pay their markup so just got something else comparable rated for the same weight.   I am a first time wheel house owner, this is all new to me. My house didn't come with any handles for the rear cables? I was told this week by someone in the industry that cordless drills do not have enough brake to lower it slow enough and it can damage the cables and the ratchets in the winches.  I put on a handle last night and it is 100% better than using a drill, unfortatenly I found out the hard way lol and will only use the ICNutz to raise the house now.
    • I haven’t done any leaf springs for a long time and I can’t completely see the connections in your pics BUT I I’d be rounding up: PB Blaster, torch, 3 lb hammer, chisel, cut off tool, breaker bar, Jack stands or blocks.   This kind of stuff usually isn’t the easiest.   I would think you would be able to get at what you need by keeping the house up with Jack stands and getting the pressure off that suspension, then attack the hardware.  But again, I don’t feel like I can see everything going on there.
    • reviving an old thread due to running into the same issue with the same year of house. not expecting anything from yetti and I already have replacement parts ordered and on the way.   I am looking for some input or feedback on how to replace the leaf springs themselves.    If I jack the house up and remove the tire, is it possible to pivot the axel assembly low enough to get to the other end of the leaf spring and remove that one bolt?   Or do I have to remove the entire pivot arm to get to it? Then I also have to factor in brake wire as well then. What a mess   My house is currently an hour away from my home at a relatives, going to go back up and look it over again and try to figure out a game plan.           Above pic is with house lowered on ice, the other end of that leaf is what I need to get to.   above pic is side that middle bolt broke and bottom 2 leafs fell out here is other side that didnt break but you can see bottom half of leaf already did but atleast bolt is still in there here is hub assembly in my garage with house lowered and tires off when I put new tires on it a couple months ago. hopefully I can raise house high enough that it can drop down far enough and not snap brake cable there so I can get to that other end of the leaf spring.
