Saw a new waterproof skin for the iPad that looks very promising. It's called seal shield. The neat thing is that it doesn't interfere with an iPad ram mount so you can use it in the boat without drowning it. I'm going to order one and try it out this spring. I use my phone with the navionics app now, but the iPad size screen would be very nice.
