I have about dozen of Manias Sqiurrely baits...all with no tails.Has anybody found a glue or method to keep the replacement tails in. I've tried glues, epoxys, even the
"majical" lure glue. I'm a welder by trade...that might be my next option, somebody please end this madness. shocked.gif

Heya,
Get some "Fishin' Glue" (that's the brand name). Works better than anything I've found. Usually have to work at getting the rest of the tail out when one gets torn up and you have to replace it. Regular 'super glue' usually DOES NOT work at all. Few casts and the tail goes sailing. Some other types of glue will melt the bait body too.

Kind of frustrating when poor squirrley's butt falls off, but worth the trouble keeping him on one piece usually. Fish murder the things, and they're about the best hooking jerkbait there is. Hard to beat them in thick weeds.

Cheers,
RK

Just thoght I might help here.
Action Plastics make a nice Large grub that works well here on the Burt's.
You do have to carve on them some to get a snug fit.
I dig out the old, and measuse the new.
Sort of make a BLOCK cut a little bigger than needed.
I have used GOOP and a few drops of Quick Tite.
Seems to work OK.
Good Idea to line up the seams on the Grub with the seams on the Burt!

Have fun, fish do seem to like them.
Mine get chewed regular.

THANKS FOR THE TIPS! When those weeds get tall on ol Leech I think those squirrleys(thought I'd spell squirrley right this time rolleyes.gif )really seem to get through the slop. Hated to send them in half ready.
