Charging MarCum battery with generator

I can't seem to get my flasher batteries to charge inside the house using generator power. Can I use the DC 12 volt 10 amp battery charger built into the generator or is that too much of a charge for an 8 Ah flasher battery?

Not sure why your generator is not charging but I would not use the 12 volt out. Your Marcum charger is only putting out 1 amp and it is going through a smart charger vs 10 amps out. Your battery would get warm in a quick hurry. What model of generator are you running ?

Like stated. I wouldn't use the generator directly. It is intended for a deep cycle. That doesn't make much sense why your charger wouldn't work thru the fish house. Did you try another charger? I would try a second charger maybe. I have a marcum and mine charges fine through the house hooked to the generator.
