Marcum problem

I have a marcum vxp1 that's almost a year old. Last time out I noticed it starting sounding a little louder then usural. Now I'm unable to pick up the bottom unless I'm in the 80 range on the flasher. The gain does not make any difference. I was in 35 fow and needed the 80 ft setting to see the bottom.

I have contacted marcum 3 days ago and I have not heard anything back.

Be sure to check and see that you have the transducer all the way down past the bottom of the ice a few inches so that you aren't dealing with echoes off the ice.

If your battery is good and the transducer is below the ice, then I would call MarCum.

They have have lost your e-mail or whetever. They are very good at getting back to people and also with helping them with thier issues.

Try to get ahold of Jon Marshall but I believe he may be out of the office for awhile at this time.

wiggle your knob. Sometimes the contact springs inside the knobs just needs a little more wiggling.
