Couple of tips

Have fun!
Slow down or speed up, depending what the fish or Mother Nature are telling you.
Mix things up, white to dark, slow to fast, big to small, rattle or no rallles, TOPWATER!!!
Read the water or watch the shorelines and your graph to find NEW areas or high precentage areas that will no doubt hold BIG fish, maybe numbers too.
Put some of the things you read about ALL winter into action.
Fun and easy to do.
If it looks fishy, fish it.
Might not produce today, but it might or will in the future.
Learn the waters you fish and the What, Where, When and Hows of those areas and you will score big time.

Besides fish more, what are a couple of good tips that I might not already have to get more muskies in the boat this summer? I fish LOW and near Detroit Lakes.

Pay attention to detail! What I mean by this is make sure your line has no nicks or frays, your leader wire is not kinked, your snaps are not wore out, your drag is set right, hooks are sharp, and the list could go on and on. It happens too often in muskie fishing a opportunity to boat a fish is lost due to not paying attention to these small details. I know, I have made all the mistakes mentioned above.

Opportunities to catch a muskie are hard to come by, make sure you and your equipment are ready when it happens. If you pay attention to these small details, you will boat more fish.

I couldn't agree more with the previous posts, but wanted to add just a few things that have worked for myself.

1)fish at "prime times"(sunrise,sunset,moonrise,set,before fronts) as much as possible.

2)try fishing at night! Especially if you are fishing lakes around Detroit Lakes that are seeing a lot of pressure.
