Touch up Paint?

I purchased a pair of 1998 Indy trails this year and one of them is needing a little TLC in the paint department on one spot on the hood. Anyone have good luck with the polaris paint matching pretty close, or is there a better option out there?

(I have heard stories that the polaris stuff is "iffy at best" if it matches or not) I don't need much at all. Gonna cover about a 10 inch by 10 inch section. I can order from a dealer, but am forced to buy 2 cans of the stuff. It is the metallic teal that they have been using for years. Any suggestions or helpful pointers would be appreciated.

Brought the sled into Auto Value and their paint guy used an electronic device (looked like a camera of some sort) and put it on my hood and got the color codes and mixed me up a spray can for me. It appears to be very close, just need to wait til the weather is warmer to give it a try. Since I can't ride them, I might as well spend my time doing something else with them.

That maybe the best thing you could have done since any machine's paint will weather over years of being outdoors and sun fade takes place.

I had a decal on my hood for a few years and you could really notice the fade once it came off. You maybe better off painting the whole hood then trying to match one spot?

Good Luck!
