Otter Sled Sizes For Thier Portables?

Majestic

Recommended Posts

I was thinking about buying an Otter portable but they don't say which sled size they use for each portable.

I don't want a Large sled, I'm thinking probably a Magnum.

I also want it to be a thermal, which one matches this description?

The Otter Lodge is what you want. I just bought an insulated Canvas Craft that uses the Magnum Otter sled and it gives you enough room for two. Some say three but I think it would be real tight. The nice thing about the Magnum sled is it fits nice in a 6 1/2' truck bed.

This is my issue with the Large sled, I just owned and sold my Large Canvas Craft because it would not fit in a normal truck bed. It will only fit if you have the big 8 foot bed.

It was the ultimate shack though, just a little big for what I like to do and thats pull them with sled or wheeler for miles. Can't beat the Large if you got the big truck box and just like to drive out to your spot though.

From what I gather is the Magnum will fit in a normal truck bed, and it will be a bit lighter which also helps.

the cottage uses a small ultra wide sled(32"W X 54"L X 18"T).

the cabin uses a medium sled(36" X 65" X 20").

the lodge uses a magnum sled(38" X 76" X 20").

the resort uses a large sled(44" X 84" X 22").

these sizes are collapsed and with the house on top of the sled. height would be 5"'s shorter with out the house on the sled.
