Marcum LX3 issue

My unit has been a great performer for the last 4 or 5 years but is now giving me grief . The battery will only last about 4 hours then goes dead , it used to run for days between charges . I have tried new battery's and also new chargers but with no success . Has any one had a similar problem ?

I have the same unit, bought a new battery thursday charged it up and it only lasted 5hrs. So im going to use a different charger to see if that makes a difference

I have the LX5, and have the same issue. anybody have any ideas?

My guess is the fault lies with the battery, I've gotten a bad 'new' battery before.

One thing you could do, is power up the unit and see if it is drawing outside of the specified 350mA current draw using a multi meter or current meter. It'd have to draw well over 1amp to drain a 9ah battery in 5hours.

i thought it was teh battery also, like you said, my original battery lasted forever and would stay above 90% after fishing all day, bought a blue batt last year and it goes down to 40% after a couple of hours. bought a different batt again this year thinking it would change, its alittle better, but not like the original...
