Anyone here from the Brookings area? Fished Goldsmith this winter?

Fished from shore on a windy day this fall. Caught a couple smallish pike. Have heard there are perch in there.

I would say it would definitely be worth taking a flyer on. According to the oxegyn testing reports it had good oxygen last winter.

Where do you find Lake Survey's for lakes? I saw they stocked 32,000+ Walleye fingerlings in there in the summer of 2010. Going to go try today I think.

Dead. Sea. Anyone ever fish that pond South for Brookings right along 29? I saw like 5 guys out there the other day. Here's a link:

The locals call it interstate lake. My roomate fished it one day open water and caught a lot of small perch. I was driving home from work one day this summer and a person was holding about a three pound bass. I have also heard there are pike in there.

Went out to SouthBrook today just for fun and caught a pile of 5" Crappies. I know there are Largemouth's and Bluegill's in there. Anyone else ever fish this?
