Is it time for permys?

havent been able to bring my new permy out yet this year. With all this extremely cold weather im wondering if its finally time to start hauling out houses with trucks in the metro...? I was out last weekend on a small lake and it had about 5 inches. Not much but i imagine with this weather and the forecast of more cold weather to come it wont be long before people are driving out near and around Minneapolis area. Any findings/reports would be great!

I am waiting for a foot so I think Saturday will be the day. Going to pull a new hydraulic ice castle out using a kubota utv. Scaled the house at 4100 lbs.

Wev'e been in our permy since Dec.12th. with no snow on the lake it's pretty easy to move around by hand but we also don't have a real heavy shack either. There is a lot more ice up north then in the metro also.

Just look in the Metro section for ice reports. I have been seeing a lot around 8in, which is not enough for trucks. Remember, its really only been two days of really cold weather, and its supposed to be back up in the 30's soon.

I know of 2 perms venturing out for the first time today via ATV though.
