Cats on Horseshoe Tomorrow!

Hopefully it is ok that I post this in the ice fishing section. I want to go after some catfish tomorrow on Horseshoe or one of the chain lakes. I know almost nothing about the area other then some of the posts I have read.

I am just wondering if anyone will be out there tomorrow that would be willing to point me in the right direction. If you have room and want some company that would be even better, but I have a 1 man hub that I will use otherwise. I have wanted to try catching a catfish for a long time just haven't had the chance until now.

I too am interested in fishing the horseshoe chain once but I am heading back to school this weekend so it won't happen this season. I fished Long lake a few times in the past with good success but I never had the cloud of fish on the sonar like I have seen on DTro's video. THAT I must experience once. Might wanna check out the St. Cloud area forum too if you haven't yet. Big thread in there that has been going for awhile about cattin' the chain.

Check out the St Cloud forum for sure. The "Cattin the Chain" thread is one of the best threads each year. Lots of information and tips shared.

You might find that the bite has slowed a bit as it usually does as the year progresses. If I was headed up there, I would try my best to be there as the sun goes up and as the sun goes down.

Thanks for the advice guys. I did go post in the cattin the chain thread. I can't get up there at sun up because I have to pick up my flasher from Marcum before I head up there. Hopefully I will be able to stay until sundown.
