marcum/humminbird interference

I was out tonite and my "bird" was interfering with the marcum. I set the IR on the marcum but was still seeing some interfderence on the bird ----how do I compensate for it on the "Bird"???----thanks Oh,its a 788ci by the way

You can press the IR button on the Marcum over and over again and it'll keep changing the level of interferiance rejection. A Marcum can tune out any other unit, I have an LX5 and have fished along side every unit out there and by tuning my Marcum and not the other units I can always find a happy zone with no interferiance to very little interferiance.

I think the 788 and 798 are similar. go into the humminbird sonar menu, you probably have it on 200/83. If you put it on 83 only there should not be any interference. I think that is the 45 degree cone, so you may have problems seeing your jig in deep water. Works well when shallow.
