Lakes off of HWY 94

Hey all,

I'm going on an ice fishing trip in mid February with a bunch of buddies up near Fergus Falls. Just wondering if there are any lakes that I can make a pit stop at for an hour or two on the way up there from the cities. We likely won't be fishing at the resort we are staying at until Saturday but a few of us got Friday off of work so we could head up that way early. I'd like to find a lake right off highway 94 that we could plug a few holes in and possibly catch a fish or two. Thanks.

Welcome to HSO and the forums. One lake you could check out along the way is Locke lake by Hasty (8 miles up the freeway from Monticello). you can actually see it from the freeway. there is a creek that comes out of it and goes under the freeway just before the Hasty exit.
