Captain Danny Gomez on the 'Dhamar'. Super nice 27' super panga with twin Yammies, outriggers, tuna tubes, etc. The guy fishes his a$$ off and will put you on fish or die trying. He's out of La Cruz about 35 minute cab ride from downtown PV. He runs about $800 for all day offshore and around $400 for inshore. He's well known as one of PV's best panga captains.

His personal cell # calling from USA

Thanks for the quick response, I will try and contact him to see if he's available. I have never been on the big ocean before (only been in the gulf of mexico). What can I expect? I plan on bringing my wife (novice to the big water), was the 27' boat pretty stable? Don't want the trip to hinge on my wife feeling comfortable (dramamine already purchased!!) Also, my spanish is non-existant, are they easy to understand/communicate with? Thanks again for the help.

Book soon if you decide to go through him. He books up pretty quick. Danny speaks excellent english so there is no problems with communication. His boat is very stable, as are most pangas. No problems in big seas whatsoever. Chances are the seas will be pretty flat that time of year but we still take Bonine in the morning just in case before we go offshore. It's just not worth feeling like a$$ after shelling out money to fish. My only suggestion for you guys would be to have a pretty empty stomach the morning of and snack a little while out. Ya know, sandwiches and cookies and stuff. No big, greasy breakfasts! Also keep the boozin' to a minimum the night before along with lots and lots of water the day before and during the day of and you'll be fine. No head on the boat so I hope she's not shy to pi$$ in a bucket. Don't worry, Danny and Hector will face forward and she can be in relative privacy at the back of the boat. My girlfriend has to do this on all our charters. No big deal.

As far as what you can expect... Expect to have the time of your life and maybe the fishing trip of a lifetime, seriously. Good chances at catching 200lb+ Yellowfin Tuna along with Roosterfish, Amberjack, Jack Crevalle, and Pargo inshore. Have fun! Let us know how you did and post a report with pics when you get back. I'll be down there at the end of Feb.
