Scoot
Had something pretty cool happen to me on LOW over the weekend. We were fishing smallies in Little Traverse Bay on LOW and saw a mid-40's inch muskie. I pitched a bucktail from my muskie rod in front of it. The boat turned with the wind so I couldn't see my lure anymore, and wham, I had a hit. I set the hook and had a fish on. My cousin, who was in the back of the boat, could see my lure and he said "you've got a smallmouth". I reeled it in towards the boat, realizing now that it felt way too small to be the large lunge I saw, when all of a sudden the muskie shot out from under the boat and attaced the smallie on the end of my line! Twice it tried to take a bite out of the smallmouth, only to just catch a small piece of the tail. It chased it for about 10 seconds before I took the scared-to-death smallmouth out of the water. It was pretty cool. For the record, we saw eight muskies and caught two in about four hours of fishing for them. It was the best muskie action I've experienced. I had four strikes on my giant jackpot and caught one of them- a 39 incher. What a freeking blast!!!Scoot
