Panfish rod and reel

What is the lightest rod and reel setup under $100 for panfishing? Thinking about using 2-4lb line. Open spinning reel. Just want something that I can cast far and a really sensitive rod. Want to prepare for the spring 2012 season.

I have gander mountain 7 foot ultra light and shimano sedona 1000 I spool it with 4 pound test.

I use a 9' long crappie hunter rod (cheapo kit) with any spinning reel I have available for flinging small panfish cranks and small jigs.

I find the wider-spooled spinning reels cast small stuff better.

I found a 7' rapala ultra light that is the best pan rod ive ever used. also very affordable under $40

ya can find yourself a 8-9' 3/4wt fly rod for under $100 and you dont need an expensive reel to hold line... nothing beats catching bluegills on the fly.. its a blast!
