HOWS YOUR SEASON BEEN SO FAR

MINE STARTED OUT WITH A BOOM. THE MONDAY AFTER OPENER, WITCH WAS MY FIRST DAY ON THE WATER FOR SKIES. I PUT A 48 IN THE BOAT 7 HR INTO THE DAY. ON JUNE 21 I PUT A 31 IN THE BOAT AND HAVE BEEN FISHLESS SINCE. SEEING PLENTY BUT NO HOOKUPS.

Sounds pretty similar to my season.
I have been able to find the fish, it's getting them to bite that has been tough.

I also put a nice 48 incher in my boat a couple of weeks ago and have been fishless ever since.

Thinking of either heading to Mantrap or Big this weekend, hopefully the muskies will be hungry and on the move...

I've fished twice for the silver slough sharks (don't get uptight anyone- it's just a silly nickname) and managed one 41". I'm happy to say that it's my first one ever. It was quite a thrill for me! I snapped a few quick pictures and let 'er go quickly- it swam off with plenty of spunk which was the perfect ending to my virgin lunge experience. Since then I've tried twice with no hook-ups but I've seen numbers of fish.
