Is it possible to ajust idle speed on a SM, my dad has a lazer an u really half to feather the thumb lever to keep it running, also have to hold it down a little to get it to start running, its not very old with little use so I dont think a spring is sprung, any help would be great thanks. boar

Yes there is a low speed idle adjustment. It is a small regular head brass screw with a point on the other end that you can turn in to stop the idle decrease sooner. This applies to tecumseh powerheads with the tiny walbro carbs. I don't know about the new ones.
