hey, and a highlight video

Been a while since I've posted here... It is my favorite fishing forum site and I've missed posting. Seems to be a lot of smart anglers and guys that get out on the water a lot and the information on this site can be very good. I have been doing lots of fishing and haven't had much for internet time, but I am back in a spot where I should be able to post more now which will be fun.

Anyways, i put together my first fishing highlight film of my friends and I and a taste of our fishing experiences. We have spontaneously taken video of some of our fish and fights etc and I decided to put some of them together. Some people may recognize some pictures and video that I posted on this site a couple years back when i posted a lot.

The video features most every fish people would target in the midwest with fly and conventional tackle plus a few spots we obviously traveled a ways to. Many of the clips are from MN and some of those are even from the metro area.

You'll see most of the fishing is from canoe, kayak, waders, or an old boat. You don't need a fancy boat to experience some great fishing!

Great video Josh. It's something you'll always have to hold onto - memories of trips, fish, and friends. I would say it captures the essence of the fun of angling. Great job, I know it takes a ton of time to put something like that together.

Did I spy Gundy at 11:23?

One of you guys spent a summer in Walker, got to hear and see some of those Florida trip pics through a friend up there. That's the wild side of youth - pick up and go some place unknown despite the risks to have an adventure. Looks like it really was a good time then and for 4 years.

That was me in Walker (I've heard about you through the guys there too). I was there the past two summers, and a friend of mine has been in PR the last couple summers. We stayed at an area campground both summers and fished about 7 days a week. The whole area has incredible fishing! Actually, Bill E. and his wife may fish with us in FL this spring! Not sure if you remember, but I actually met you a few years back in Duluth after a BLG presentation.

Incredible video, so many incredible experiences.

Next time you go shark fishing, try getting one on a fly rod. Spinner sharks and blacktips are supposed to be incredible on the fly if you can find a group and get 'em excited.

Blacktips do some jumping and spinning, but yeah, spinners are insane! They barrel roll through the air making multiple rotations sometimes and i have seen back to back to back jumps! It is mind blowing. As a group we have hooked bonnets, lemons, and blacktips on flies (landed very few). One guy with us used cut bait to hook a spinner from a kayak- insane to watch.
