Kenai Alaksa Trip

I just book a trip to Kenai Alaska, for this July. Mainly will be salmon fishing, but I am trying to talk my group into a half day of rainbows and Brookies(Char) up river in the wildernes, float trip. I just had to tell the world. If I can get on some monster bows with light tackle, it will be a dream come true.

You are very lucky and I hope you enjoy that trip!! It certainly does sound like a dream trip!! My wife always wants to go where it's warm some year I'll get her hooked on the salmon fishing I used to go out to Port Washington with a group of buddies in my single years, had a blast, been trying to talk her into doing it some year. She is always trying to one up me on the stream and I keep telling her you need to bring a salmon in!! Anyway, enjoy yourself and take lots of pics!

Hey Guys, thanks and you are right I think it will be a dream trip. I'll definately post lots of pics in August when I get back. My wife is a very loving and understandinf person. Who is ALLOWING me to go.

I use to live in Issaquah WA, and took my wife salmon fishing once, after trying to talk her into it repeatidly. She caught 9 to my 3, we kept our leagal limit and released the rest. Ofcourse when I ask her if she wants to go fishing now, she always asks if it will be like in WA, LOL. We timed the run right, it was a blast. You could see all the fish jumping as they came charging up river. It's what I would imagine the running of the bulls to be like if you tried catching them with a fishing pole. She would yell fish on, so I'd set down my rod to be ready to land her fish. Then I'd re-bait her, and buy the time I'd cast she'd yell Fish on again. I was happier watching her try to land these powerful salmon than it was to catch one myself.
