I have a navionics chip in my 587. Works really well. Main reason I went navionics is because of the area that it covers. The lakes that I live around seem to be fairly accurate.

If the majority of your fishing is done in Mn then I would highly recommend the Lakemaster MN card. It contains features exclusive to Humminbird that are not available with other cards. I really like, and use, the depth highlighting feature. With it, you can set a shallow highlight out to 30ft while at the same time highlight another depth range of your choice. With this feature, midlake structures that would normally require lots of scanning will pop out at you.
