Ice Castle Frame differences?

I was looking at used Ice Castles and got a few recommendations to stay away from the older models because of the frames. They say that 2009 and new models have the tubular frames and are much more dependable.

What does everyone think about this? Would an older frame do fine or was it really a big upgrade to the tubular frames? Any recommendations?

I have a 2005 and have had no problems at all. Wheels are still straight also.

Any hauling with that 2005 like a 4 wheeler?

i had a 04 IC had to redo axles, tires where towed out.Now i have 2010 tube frame way better bulid

I have a Carsella shack, and that was one of the big selling points was the tube frame. Angle iron just is not as strong and with the amount of money these fish houses are your gonna wanna be sure it will last. I cant speak for the newer castles, but I know those older angle iron frames really gave ice castle a bad rep. Actually I was looking at Ice Castles when I first started looking but heard to many complaints on the frames and thats how I ended up going with the Carsella.
