Fish TV

Hey everybody, First, let me say that I don't post on here very often, so if this topic is posted somewhere else, please refer me to that posting. Thank you!

I am considering buying a Fish TV, and I was wondering if its worth the money, or should I hold out and save up for either a marcum or vexilar next year. Not a cheapski, and am nervous about buying used gear, if you understand...just looking to get an entry level model fish locater so I am not drilling blind and looking foolish. Your thoughts and opinions please! Thanks!

Patrick

I have a fish tv and its kind of a cheaper unit. If your looking to get a camera i would save your pennies and get an Aqua View! They cost more but work a heck of alot better! Now if your talkin a flasher i would also save your money and get a higher end one. I have a Vexilar fl8 and have seen the better models and the money is worth it!

Of the two items that you listed, a flasher is the more essential piece of equipment that you want in your hardwater arsenal.

Get a camera when the budget allows, but when you do, DO NOT get a FishTV. My buddy had one and was not impressed to say the least. Poor image among other things. The FishTV unit was returned, and he then upgraded to the lowest priced Marcum camera.

The Marcum camera was not returned smile
