Digger Ice Auger Transport/Carrier

I would like to hear from anyone who owns the Digger ice auger carrier/transport. I am looking at mounting it to the rear of my snowmobile and am just concerned how sturdy it is. The thought of a $500 auger falling on to the ice and being run over by my fishhouse scares me. I am also a little concerned about the weight of the motor not being supported. Will that be hard on the gearcase? Appreciate any help before I drop the cash on one of these mounts.

gonehunting,

I bought one at the ice show this year. I have not mounted it yet but it is built very sturdy. This years model comes with a power head support bracket so you don't need to worry about it bouncing around.

The owner of Digger Anchor told me at the ice show if his customers are not satisfied with it he will give your money back.

I paid $80 at the show.

Hope this helps.

I used one all of last season with no issues, I have a Jiffy Pro4. I can't imagine there being an issue with the powerhead getting damaged, assuming that you aren't trying to catch air off of ice ridges or anything like that. I did use a bungee cord to keep the powerhead from rotating.
