Spinning reel recomendations

I looked back 35 pages and didn't find much on reels for ice fishing. I have 4 T2 pinnacle reels with thorne rods. They are over 10 years old and still work well. I mainly fish LOW and some perch on the big lakes. Any idea on a new reel to have my wife put under the tree from santa? Have a Great Holiday season. Thanks DrJ....

Get a Shimano Stradic 1000. LOL. A bit over much but can always be used for open water as well. With so many choices, I'd say pick a price point.

Slipperybob, I like the way you think There are alot of great options out there. I fish with mostly Shimano reels but added a couple of Ticas to the arsenal two years ago and they have held up well and are reasonably priced.

Sharkfin 2000S reel, comes with the rod and reel combo. I take the reel off the rod it comes with and put it on my ice fishing rods.

Ticas are great. I have two of them on my spring bobber rods. I also have two tiny pflueger president reels on st croix rods for walleye jigging. Other than that I use some 20 dollar abu garcias i found a few years back.
