Anticipation

With most openers having a specific date, deer hunting, waterfowl, walleye and northers in the spring.....

I really truly believe that the unofficial ice fishing opener is more anticipated than any of the others.

Why is it?

I really truly believe that the unofficial ice fishing opener is more anticipated than any of the others.

Why is it?

Because it's usually a month or so after Deer hunting and no one has been able to get on a lake for about a month and a half meaning we have been sitting home with our Wives and we need to "GETOUT" of the house!

I think the camaraderie of ice fishing has to do with it more than anything. There is just something about a bunch of wheelhouses/portables all camped out on the ice that makes it a little different than anything else. Good family, friends and neighbors is what it's all about.
