CrappieJohn
I watched the weather last night, took to heart that they knew what they were talking about, and made my plans for today's fishing event. Now mind you, I don't dislike water and certainly have no aversions to casting in the rain, but this wind SUCKS! It has gone way past simply blowing. Rick and I fished yesterday and found ourselves held captive to the wind in that we could not control the boat well enough to cover the water well with casts. I don't know about the rest of you guys, but when it comes to wind I think it is the ultimate spoiler of plans and not just in the fishing arena. I've been putting of a bathroom paint job while Ma has been gone, but I think I'll do that today and forget about the fishing. I sure would have enjoyed my four hour tour of duty on the water though.------------------Plastics...making better fishermen without bait! Good Fishing Guys! wallyH
I agree. I was out 2 nights last week when the wind was just howling. It didn't help that the compass board that controls the auto-pilot in my trolling motor broke. Even when I could get good position and cast I often had too much bow in my line to get an effective hookset. Still beats working though.
