JPenny
Has anyone here tried using bunny fur to catch pike?
ted4887
I started tying with bunny fur on flies initially intended to catch SM bass, unfortunately, the pike go wild for them. It's a very realistic material when it's submerged. I'd recommend it for everything.
Further North
Yes, all on flies, as noted above, pike love 'em.I have several different variations, most based on or copied directly from Barry Reynolds....The smaller versions will have bass and walleye getting in the way of your pike fishing.... OnAFly
I also use rabbit strips for pike. A 5" rabbit bugger in Chartreuse catches them very well, bass too. They are easy to tie but can be difficult to cast. I always end up needing to work the air out of mine when I first use the fly otherwise it tends to float a lot.
