wheelhouse wall framing?

For the guys who have built your own wheelhouses with wood studs, have you screwed the studs together? If using 2x2s (1 5/8 x 1 5/8) are you using 2 screws?

I had thought about ripping my own studs to a true 2" depth and using 2" foam in the walls, 2 screws per stud. Maybe use a kreg jig and pocket screws or would screws from the end be better?

Thanks

I made framed walls using only one screw to attach the 2x2 wall studs to the top and bottom studs. Before screwing them together I pre-drilled each hole to prevent the stud from splitting before screwing the bottom and top. I also used a toilet bowl ring wax to help the screws go easier. The toilet bowl wax was new, not used smile Then I applied flooring adhsive (leftover from a flooring install) to the bottom and to the corner studs. Then I put the walls up and screwed the bottom to the plywood/stud/plywood floor.

I use one 3&1/8 inch screw, pre drill the plates, (I prefer T-25 drive screws as in my opinion they are a heck of a lot easier to work with) and use Hot melt adhesive on the ends of the studs. When needed, I will use corner blocks just to keep things plumb and square with the world.

Yep i also ripped down 2x4s left over from our house and 2x4s in the corners. I cant remember if i used 1 or 2 screws but i also added a piece of tin say 5x5 or something like that and placed that over the joint or where the stud and the top and bottom header meet. Little over kill but i did it and then once you finish the inside or outside it will be solid.( I finish the inside first so i can place headers and stuff where i want it i add a cabinet or something on the walls)

How many guys finish the inside first??
