setterguy
I am going to head to a lake tomorrow that I have fished many times but never late ice conditions. It is a small lake (36 acres) with two deep holes (54 and 45'). There isn't much structure other than a 37' flat between the holes. Other than that its either going down or coming up, which ever way you look at it .My question is this, are the craps going to be on deep weedlines or still staging over deep water waiting for warmer temps? Any thoughts here would really be appreciated.
Stratosman
I personally would try the 8-12 foot depths adjacent to the deeper holes, drill a bunch of holes and start searching, gradually move your way deeper, since the lake is only 40 acres you should be able to eleiminate water in no time, especially if you have a flasher. Look for deeper water areas outside of likely spawing locations and do not be afraid to move around.[This message has been edited by Stratosman (edited 03-25-2004).]
