in his artical" Perch Prowess" Tom Carpenter say that perch are eating insects in soft bottom areas(2010 to 2011 Ice Fishing magazine). i found out that if a person uses a pink eye on a small jig or a Northland Tackle scud bug, blood worm, and other bros bug lures that the person will catch more perch. i found that out lat year while ice fishing.

i've done well jigging little frostee spoons with a waxworm.

Where do you go during the rest of the year Robert? It seems like you come around when ice fishing season is coming and then you go when the lakes open up.

Is it some sort of reverse hibernation?
