Puddle Jumpers!

Thought I'd put you guys onto a hot crappie bait. Puddle Jumpers. Its a plastic with a split tail. Great minnow imitator. I rig them on a 1/32 oz head and fish them under a bobber. No bait, works better without. Its a tail from down south. Last season I caught and released well over 1000 crappies on Puddle Jumpers. Its all I use now in open water. I'm not sure where you can get them in the metro, but they carry them at Dave's Sportland up in Nisswa. You guys should check them out. You'll enjoy the results.

I have used them i cast on out and jig them on in no bober. They work great.

The best color for me has been pearl white rigged on a pink head. Better than dynamite!

Early007, is the puddle jumper you are referring to the "Mar Lynn puddle jumper"?

Yeah the Puddle Jumper is made by Mar Lynn Tackle Company. They come in 1 1/2" and 2". I've always used the 2 inchers.
