Anyone seen Lindy's new Grub Getter?

Ordered a truckload of them at the tackle show. They look sweet and should work great. The worst thing is having wet hands and sifting through the sawdust. It was probably the best new item I saw for the upcoming year. Jason Erlandson

    Ripley hunt

Who's going to get the big one this year? Lots of monsters down there at Ripley. Wish I was going. Jason Erlandson

    Scent Killer/Blocker

How well do scent blockers work and which ones are best. I was out last week and was scented by a doe. I'm just learning this bowhunting stuff and I'm waiting for a buck. Do you experts use cover scents? Jason Erlandson

    Buzz Stiks?

Hi Blaine if you are looking for a nice Bluegill rod, Frabill has a really nice stick coming out this winter. I saw it at the fall tackle show. It has a small spring bobber built in the rod tip. I think it will be killer on gills. It is built similar to the Thorne Bros. model but less expensive. I know I'll be trying it. Jason Erlandson

    Vexilar Fl-8

I think all you need is transducer mounted on your boat and a bracket mount for the Vexilar. You can set it all up for less than $100. They work great mounted on the boat, best flasher units on the market. Jason Erlandson

    New ice auger

I've always had great luck with Strikemaster. They have ran great for me for the last 15 years or so. Just a pre season tune up every now and then. After hearing so many good things about Eskimo Augers it might be worth a try. Jason Erlandson

    Tip-Ups

For me I just keep it plain and simple for my set lines. I like a plain Kahle style hook, split shot and minnow. Seems to work most of the time. Jason Erlandson

    girlfriend/wife participation

I take her as much as I can. I love it when she catches more than I do. They learn real quick. I taught her Lindy Rigging all spring and summer. Yesterday she caught her first walleyes on Jigs. She ended up catching 5, it was great. Earlier this week we went duck hunting and she had a great time even shot a couple of ducks. She does everything with me and it's great. Tri Tronics Shock Collars

I have used older models of Tri Tronics Collars but I lost the transmitter last year. I'm thinking about buying a new collar/transmitter. Maybe the Sport 80C or the Field 90. Mostly I just want a collar that has a setting for a Tone, so I don't have to shock the dog every time I want to correct him. He has been conditioned to the tone and usually responds without the shock. Any suggestions or feedback from Tri-Tronics users? Thanks. Who has had a boat sink?

I've had a couple of my rental boats go down in bad weather. If you get everything drained it will run again but it is wise to replace all of the cables. Because sooner or later they will rust and seize up. Full Moon!

Hi Navigator if you hit Gull at night, drop me an email on whether it was good/bad. Our day bite has been great. I don't need any specifics just a general good or bad. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks. Jason Erlandson ------------------ Dave's Sportland Bait and Tackle Sportland Guide Service Hwy 371 & Cty Rd 13 Nisswa MN 218-963-2401 [email protected]
