gulp minnow heads?

I used them with good success this summer for panfish, sunfish mainly jigging them on a jigging spoon. they actually were nice in that they stay on longer than the fry type and they have 3 wiggly tails, the sunnies would actually tear those off and you would need to replace it before you lost the whole bait.

I picked up the red, yellow and natural colored ones last season. I do like the option of trading colors as the situation merits, liked the fact that they remain on the hook longer, but saw no real improvement over real minnow heads. When the fish were hungry, they hit both equally. Be cautious about storage, it stinks to spill the juice out all over yourself in the ice-house, literally, the stuff smells.

i realy think you nailed it on some of the gulp products. talking just about the minnow heads they do the job when fish are active. i do use them more for trout that anything elst and have caught rainbows on them along with some smelt cool. but when things are slow i will go with the real deal or just switch to a bobber and minnow. as far as panfish i have more luck with the gulp tiny hot dog stile maggots in open water above anything, with a flu flu for example. but on hard water euro larve produces much more. in open water i dont even use eurolarve. good luck.
