hi broke the tip on my loomis rod. brought it in to a tackle shop to fix the tip. they said i should send it in i did through them. however i dont remember sending in a warranty card or have a slip should i still pay to get it fixed if they dont warranty it. thanks it was a gift from years ago so i have no idea what its worth thanks

Well I paid $238 for mine 3-4 years or so ago, new ones now cost about $375 and I can't get rid of mine for $150 so I'm keeping it as a spare. If it breaks again I'll just toss it....As far as what you want to do thats up to you, can buy a pretty nice new rod for what it costs to fix or just have a local rod shop fix it for $20-$30

Something else to consider is that Loomis likely doesn't have the same model or style rod you have being that they rods change frequently as techonology develops. Some of the cost is for an upgrade to a better rod. St. Croix will always offer an upgrade and take the broken rod in trade. Cost of the upgrade is usually a good deal.
