Grandpas Fossils

These were all found by my Grandpa. He was big into finding fossils. He gave these to me when I was younger. I inherited a few hundred more Ordovician fossils when he passed. he also liked to hunt for agates, and I inherited a few small nice ones. I think he is what has really inspired me to hunt for agates, but I haven't got into the Fossil hunting yet. Maybe that should be my next adventure! It is rumored that he found a Dinosaur bone that he donated to the science museum; I dunno could have just been one of his tall tales

Nice! What part of the country were those found? I would like to go snoop around in the western black hills sometime.

Thanks! I believe they were mostly all found in Southern Minnesota and Iowa. The black hills are awesome! I have only been once when I was younger But I found a really awesome chunk of black tourmaline!
