RJD Memorial State Forest

Anyone hunt it before? Online it doesnt have the greatest maps and I read a lot of it is privately owned? Does this mean you can only hunt the portions that are state owned or can you hunt the whole state forest?

I will probably just drive down there and find out more myself sometime but info would be nice as well. I would prefer to hunt the area up between red wing and gores pool WMA but I cant find a map or hunting info on that area at all. Please help

most of s.e minnesota is the richard J dorer memorial forest you can only hunt what is public.

Only what is public. FInd a good map to make sure you are legal. Talking to landowners is also a great way to get access, especially if you approach it from the perspective of trying to define borders so you are not trespassing.
