I have a 7in haier lcd that I bought from target a couple years ago. I use it for the ice house in the winter and the kitchen the rest of the time. Never had any problems, the display will obviously get a little slow if ya let it get to cold but a couple minutes in the house and its back to normal. It has a rechargeable battery built in but only last about 2 hours. Guys that know me think im nuts cause im rarely on the ice without my deep cycle, inverter, and tv. Oh well

I've got one of those Haier tvs as well. Bought it when my stupid cousin let his mother plan his wedding for the Packer/Viking game a few years back. Anyway, that Haier works fine on its own but gets the best reception if you hook up an old set of rabbit ear antenna.

I was at Target last year and noticed they had a 19" LCD on sale for under $200 that accepted both 120 and 12v. Still kicking myself I didn't pick it up. Would have been nice to not have to mess around with an inverter, just plug and play.

thanks guys I was in wally world the other day and seen they had a22" for $160 & a 26" for $210 the lcd's were alittle bit cheaper. my question is would the led work a little better in the cold.

I would think so. LED's I believe perform better in cold temps than LCD (flourescent). Might even use a little less power.
