Ford 150 - 2000 Overdrive

Recommended Posts

The overdrive quit working. Button seems to work but no response from truck. Is this a fused function? Something in the steering column or something on the tranny itself? Would be nice to fix before the winter and i start pulling wheelhouse. 312000 and im hopping to go one more winter. Original engine and tranny. Thanks

started taking things apart. It was fairly simple getting everything off. Found the black wire for the OD button and sure enough there was a bare spot rubbed through. Started checking fuses and sure enough, fuse 29 which controls the overdrive and autolamps was smoked. taped the bare spot. changed the fuse and back in business. Overdive and the autolamps are working again. thanks FT
