Musky reels

Are there any low profile reel options other than the Revo Toro? Maybe something sub $200? I'm not an every day musky or pike fisherman. Not an every week one for that matter, so I don't have to worry about the wear and tear that some of you do.

You can try bass gear but at the end of the day your body is going to be torn up and felt like its been used and abused for years especially retrieving fall lures. If you can borrow some from a buddy that might be a good route otherwise you might have to commit some dough.

I have a old shimano curado 300 I have been running for 3-4 years now. Its low profile and comfortable in my hand. I use it double duty for heavy bass setups and also for musky. Mostly only use it for small bucktails, jerkbaits, or topwaters. Im guessing you wouldnt want to pull blades with it all day though.

About the only 2 choices for a low profile muskie reel is the Toro and Curado 300. Both are well worth the price though, I own both and theres nothing either reel wont do except burn blades bigger than double 8's.

There r 200 series size for curado. Work good on lighter stuff. I use pfluenger president wlp for standard size gliders and showgirls..
