Took my 13 month old Springer out for his first hunt ever this morning. Well, he retrieved 6 wood ducks out of the pond by 6:45. I was so happy, I never even shot my gun. I just encouraged the guy, and let the young kids with us shoot all the birds.

I'm ready for pheasant hunting now, because this dog has major potential! I hope everyone's duck hunts went as good as mine!

Here's a photo from my phone...just of the kids and the dog. missed the ducks and it's fogged up! oh well!

Great! Just great! Wonderful time for you, the kids and the dog. Let the dog bask in much happy fondling and praise for next day or so. Don't expect every day will be so good.

But when it's GOOD......it's all GOOD!!
