Public Archery Land for Deer in Southern Metro?

Good morning all-

I moved down to Burnsville about a year ago and I'm really having withdrawals from land being readily available to hunt as it was in Western MN where I came from..

Are there any decent public areas that are available to archery hunt & hold deer in the south metro?? Hoping somewhere relatively close to Burnsville..?

Feel free to PM me as well, as I'm not looking for anybody to completely uncover their learned info, but I do appreciate any knowledge that people are willing to share!

Check out the DNR HSOforum. They have maps of all the different state land. Then you can use the satellite image to see if it is the terrain you are looking for.

I am pretty sure there is quite a bit of public land for archery hunting near valley fair.
