bmc
I was on Graves Lake in Itasca County yesterday chasing gills. I caught a dozen I think and all of them were in 12-15 feet of water. This part of the lake is shallower than the north end and there's a small 25 foot hole and a small 20 foot hole. I went out to about 20 feet and all my fish were caught in 12-15 feet. They were all about 8" long, no monsters. They were really clean looking fish, and all went back down the hole.Brian
Scott Steil
I have heard rumors that, yes, it is starting. The sun must be high enough in the sky now. With the lack of snow on the ice things could be really fun the next month or three.
RHW
No sign of spring yet in SE Minnesota. Backwaters on the river still have a good two feet of ice and up tight to the shore line with no open waters along the edges.Predicting much warmer weather next week, so...... Guest
In some of the Metro lakes the panfish are starting to move shallow. Won't be long and the shallow bays/weedlines should be hot action.Good Fishin, Matt.MJ5 and Fishing Minnesota...http://frida.blc.edu/~mjohnson/mj5.html
