B-man715
Well I finally finished my spear hole in my shack! The location was the only feasible spot without doing some major modifications to the frame or the hydraulics. It is 35" X 23" inside the frame, with about an inch of overlap on the frame. The only thing major left to do is reroute the tail light wiring, which is currently in a conduit right through the middle of the hole. I trimmed it out with transition trim that is used to tie in two different types of flooring in a house. Then I installed a cabinet handle to pick the cover off. It is close to my chair, but it is pretty comfy to just straddle the hole.
MJ1657
Looks great! Where did you get that aluminum trim? I need to come up with something like that for my new house.
