MuskieJunkie
My brother in law's 2004 Searay Sundeck 5.0 FI is idling at 450 rpm and stalling. What is it supposed to idle at and how can I adjust it? He has the smart craft gauges but when I try to up the idle it says "must be in gear".Thanks guys
boatfixer
So did you try to adjust while in gear? And did he ever do anything that may have started this or did it just start idleing poorly? One thing to keep in mind on an EFI is that the battery voltage must at least 11.5 volts or higher. I think its 11.5 anyway. I had one last year that had a bad battery and it wouldnt idle well at all. Higher RPMs seemed to be fine.

Valv
There's no adjustment to the idle. It is all regulated by computee and the idle sensor. You might want to have it scanned for codes, or try a new idle sensor (around 40 bucks) before getting into big expenses.
