Favorite way to fish walleyes?

Opening weekend, trolling an original floater in shallow w/boards. Once we find them, lighted bobber and a case of beer!

Runin boards! and if that's not in the cards live rigging. But then again I like most anything as long as I'm catchen the eyes!

Has to be a jig and minnow, seems to work all times of the year around these parts!!! Of course if a guy is fishing on Waubay, everything works!!! I have caught over 100 eyes in a day during the spring, so it seems that they will hit anything!!!

I like casting big jointed raps or jigs/twisters up shallow at night the first couple weeks of season. Find any current in these southern MN lakes and you have night walleyes. Really i love any kind of walleye fishing at night, less boat traffic and usually better action. Its also fun too throw a lighted slip bobber and leech on a good weedline or rockpile at night too. Nothing better than seeing that red thill light going under.
