NASCAR always tries to equalize all the brands.

If one car finds something on thier own, NASCAR takes away from them or gives a little extra in the rules to the other to make them even.

The COT car with the plates now makes for very boring racing.

I have no idea what direction NASCAR is wanting to take with these cars but it seems the racing is like stated above, IROC at best.

That's correct. The Black Knight used to put it to both of them when they came to MN. I miss those days,that guy was my hero growing up.
