Livewell Pump?

was out fishing the other day, had fish in the box and had the livewell timer on. All of a sudden the fuse pops, didnt think much of it at first, reset it and it pops again. I later found out that some fishing line must have gotten through the screen on the back of the boat and got into the pump. I am SOL here and need to get a new livewell pump or is there a way of takeing the pump apart and getting the fishing line out and have it still work? Any thoughts would be awesome...

I have taken my bilge pump apart to remove junk from it before, I might be possible.

Otherwise aerator pumps are not very expensive and easy to install with a little silicone

Easy fix with a new pump. It's possible your existing pump is just "stuck" due to the line. Either way, you'll have to remove it to check or replace it. Good luck and post again with your results.

Ended up just pulling the back of the pump off and pulling out a hook, 3 beads, and about 5 feet of line. Put it back in and she fired up. I havent got it out on the water yet but sounds like it is running good...

Unless the impeller is cobbed up, you should be back in business.
